BDT History
FRCP History

  • This intimate theater project proposal was developed by Doug Stek and Deb Dieckman in the summer of 1992. It was originally submitted to the Flat River Community Players as well as the Greenville Creative Arts Council. The intention was that it be a joint project.
  • The FRCP declined participation at that time; the CAC decided to fund the project independently and adopted it in August, 1992. After six seasons, Executive Producer Deb Dieckman approached the FRCP about taking over sponsorship in an effort to ensure future growth and longevity of the project.
  • In May, 1998, the FRCP approved a proposal to begin financial sponsorship of BDT, making it a "Second Stage" production company for the theater group.
